August, 2020 – We are rarely able to share the whole story, but our moms come from various backgrounds and their stories are full of trials that have led them to unique and often heart-wrenching points of their life –  and that’s where Wheels From The Heart steps in.

We’d like to share a small snippet from Monique, who received car number 115. “My name is Monique and I am writing to you to share my story. I would like to start by saying there is something quite fascinating about the human spirit. It can bend – but cannot break. There is a ferocious spirit that if you listen to it, you will hear it saying “get back up, you are meant for more, and your story does not end here”. I was on a roller coaster between my daily commute to work and the bad situation I was in at home which took a lot of planning to leave. Working long hours never bothered me. However, my commute in going and coming home from work took a toll, I had to be at work by 7:00 a.m. My day began everyday by me waking up at 3:30 a.m. in the morning and starting at 4:30 a.m. my travels began on the bus. I would have to take two different buses to get to the train station. Once off the train, I would have to walk downtown to where I worked.”
